Sounds of Summer Concert - Foghat

The Van Alstyne Sounds of Summer Concert Series for 2023 will be having a Foghat concert on July 1st starting at 8PM. This family friendly concert features a band that’s been around for over 50 years and their music is timeless. Fans of Foghat span all ages from kids who play “Slow Ride” on their video game to seniors who used to listen to them on records or on an 8-track. Foghat continues to tour all over the United States we are so excited to welcome them to Van Alstyne!

Foghat will be releasing a new album in the fall of 2023. They became a band in 1971 and they have continues to record new music every few years. Their last album released was in 2021, it was a double album called “8 Days on the Road”. Founding member, Roger Earl stated “we are still a ‘work in progress’, writing and recording and plan to be until the day we depart this earth.”

This English rock band blends the sounds of the blues, boogie and rock ‘n’ roll. The band loves to perform and play. They want to make sure that all the fans got rocked from the beginning of the concert to the end. If you’ve never heard them before, you will certainly become a fan by the end of the show!
