Event Details

On Tuesday, November 12th from 7PM to 8PM, the Texoma Area Fiber Arts Guild Kick-Off Gathering will be at the Grayson College Campus in Van Alstyne. Keynote Speaker, Dr. Christina Bain is an experienced weaver and coordinates the art education program. She is an Associate Professor with the University of Texas at Austin, Art Education Area Chair. This Guild is being founded by Dr. Trina Howlow, a 30-year K-12 and University Art Educator, University Fiber Arts Professor and Life-Long Fiber Artist.
This Guild is extremely unique and there is not one like it in North Texas! You’ll have the opportunity to meet other fiber artists and enjoy a social group of artists/crafters that share a common interest. If you are a quilter, knitter, crocheter, hand stitcher, upcycler, embroiderer, tie-dyer, weaver, machine sewist, botanical dyer, needler felter or an artisan in any kind of fiber arts, this is the Guild for you to join! This Guild will meet once a month on the second Tuesday and each meeting will involve a speaker and an activity. There are different levels of membership, please see the information below.
